IDEXX Anywhere Urinalysis with Cornerstone

IDEXX Anywhere Urinalysis is an offering that allows you to run your profiles at IDEXX Reference Laboratories with the option to analyze urine in-house on the SediVue Dx® Urine Sediment Analyzer—all for the same price as if you sent everything to IDEXX Reference Laboratories. Set up invoice items

Before using IDEXX Anywhere Urinalysis the service items for the tests must be set up and linked with the lab tests. Then, a group code can be created with the service items for a consistent, streamlined invoicing workflow that ensures the client receives the diagnostic and pricing benefits of IDEXX Anywhere Urinalysis.

Navigate to Lists > Invoice item.

Service items

1. Create and set up service items for the following urinalysis lab tests:
   • IDEXX Reference Lab profile
   • SediVue Dx Urinalysis
     Note: Ensure your sedivue profile is a custom profile with both the SediVue and Urinalysis profiles included.
2. Link each laboratory test with its corresponding invoice item.
   • For IDEXX Anywhere Urinalysis codes, make sure the IDEXX Reference Laboratories test code ends in S.
     

Group item

1. Create a new group item for the lab tests.
2. Add the reference laboratory profile and the SediVue Dx Urinalysis service items on the Group Items tab.
   Note: If you use multiple reference lab profiles with SediVue Dx codes for different species and ages, add them all to a single group and see smart settings to ensure the correct items are applied to the patient.
3. On the SediVue Dx Urinalysis line, select No in the Smart Column.
4. In the Group Item pricing area, at the bottom of the Smart Code Item window, select the following:
   • Mark Down
   • Percentage
   • 100.00
   • Ignore Minimum Price (if used)
5. Click OK. Once the necessary changes are made, the No in the Smart Column will change to Yes.

Use

To use IDEXX Anywhere Urinalysis with Cornerstone, use the charge entry workflows for the reference lab and the in-house lab, when processing requests. Ensure staff is trained to use the group code versus the individual codes. This will ensure the correct billing item is applied.

1. Add the group item to the Patient Visit List or invoice.
   
2. Process the request for the reference lab or the in-house lab.
   • The reference laboratory request will not open until the patient visit list is saved or, if entered on the invoice, when the invoice is saved or posted.
     
3. Run the in-house urinalysis on your SediVue Dx analyzer and submit the reference laboratory portion of IDEXX Anywhere Urinalysis (S code) within 14 days of each other.
4. Review your invoice from IDEXX to see your savings from the IDEXX Anywhere Urinalysis offer.
   • You will be billed for the panel as if the urine was sent to the laboratory.
   • SediVue Dx analyzer runs will be invoiced as normal and 100% credited on the IDEXX Anywhere UA Credit Memo page.
